Trial Terms

Version 0.2 · 15 July 2026 · Mary Care Group Ltd

Thank you for helping us test Mary. These terms explain how the live trial works. They are written in plain words on purpose. By accepting them in the portal you agree to take part on this basis.

The trial in one paragraph

The trial is free, lasts 90 days, and is open to invited friends and family only. Everyone taking part, including the person being cared for, must be 18 or over. You use real information, so the Privacy Notice applies. At the end of the trial you choose what happens next; nothing converts into a paid subscription automatically and we never take card details during the trial.

What Mary is, and what it is not

Mary is not an emergency service. The HELP button alerts family members through the app and portal. It does not contact 999, an alarm centre, or any professional responder. It depends on the phone being on, charged and connected. In an emergency, always call 999.

Mary is also not a medical service or a medical device. It does not monitor health, and during the trial you must not put medical information (diagnoses, medicine names or doses, symptoms, test results) into reminders or notes.

What we ask of you

What you can expect from us

Ending the trial

The trial runs for 90 days from your start date. Near the end we will contact you to choose: continue with Mary, take a copy of your information, or have everything deleted. You can also leave at any time before that by emailing privacy@marycare.co.uk - we will close the account and delete your household's information.

The legal bit

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them removes rights the law gives you, and nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Because the trial is free and experimental, we are not liable for losses caused by relying on the service beyond what it promises - in particular, please remember Mary is not an emergency or medical service.
